Ovarian Cycle has teamed up with Giftit Women to raise funds for Ovarian Cancer Research. Ovarian Cycle, a 501(c) 3, was founded in 2004 by Atlanta fitness expert, Bethany Diamond. As with any cancer, early detection is key and after the loss of a friend diagnosed in the later states of ovarian cancer, Bethany became compelled to create something positive that would fund research for the development of a test for early detection.
Ovarian Cycle: Ride to Change the Future is a six week training program held at five Atlanta area fitness centers culminating in a 6 hour, virtual 100 mile ride April 28, at Midtown Athletic Club at Windy Hill. "Anyone can do this," says Bethany, "You don't have to own a bike, you won't get lost, and there is a bathroom down the hall." Bethany is a fitness educator, group fitness instructor, and personal trainer from Marietta, Georgia with over 20 years experience in the industry.
